SELECTED
BY KAWASAKI RAIL CAR, INC.
TO
MANUFACTURE CONTACTOR BOXES
JOPLIN, MO - March 31, 2003
- Mid-America Precision Products, LLC (MAPP) is proud to announce that it has
been awarded a contract from Kawasaki Rail Car, Inc. in support of their New
York City Transit rail car program. MAPP
was selected by the Yonkers, New York, company to manufacture electrical
contactor boxes for each rail car produced by Kawasaki Rail Car. The initial award is in support of mock-up
car development with prototype and production car awards to be released at
later dates. Manufacturing of the
contactor boxes is expected to be supported by plants in both Joplin and
Stella, Missouri.

Mid-America Precision
Products specializes in the manufacture of high-tolerance sheet metal
fabrications, machined parts, and value-added assemblies for aerospace,
telecommunications, heavy industry, and computer storage markets. The company has recently made capital
improvements to its Stella, Missouri, plant to enhance its overall capability
in the value-added contract manufacturing market. The company has three manufacturing locations
in Joplin and one in Stella.
